      Your Opportunity

      Manages all activities regarding trade and business to help drive top line sales growth for assigned channel. Establish strong customer relationships. Responsible for the day-to-day execution of the annual business plan to improve profitability; liaison between operations, business, Supply Chain, and marketing functions; lead forecasting efforts with demand and supply planning teams for respective brands.

      Core Responsibilities

      • Primary contact for Industrial Customers.
      • Works with various departments to resolve Customers issues, i.e. Customer Success, Transportation, Loss prevention, Business, Supply Planners, Pricing team.
      • Proactively works with these various departments to prevent customer issues.
      • Providing updated Forecasts and Monthly Consensus for the numerous Ship to Customer.
      • Responsible for day to day management of volume plan for assigned account.
      • Search for opportunities for T&W savings with direct shipments.
      • Updates weekly Pricing for select items sold to the Customer and provide to Pricing Team.
      • Updates weekly intracompany pricing and provide to Pricing Team.
      • Manages any Special Pricing adjustments with the Customer.
      • Accurate and timely communications to Business Management of potential risk of reduced Margins and give guidance on opportunities on increasing margins.
      • Accurate and timely communications to Demand Planning and Supply Planning change in demand, that would risk, either long stock inventory or shortage of inventory.
      • Provide Vacation coverage for other Accounts
      • Search and bring new customers to Smithfield.
      • Apply Smithfield’s 3 ROI concepts, the 4 pillars and 3 P’s.

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in related field, and 3+ years of work experience in either Sales, Supply Planning, or Business Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
      • Meat industry experience, preferred.
      • Competent in Microsoft Office and in SAP
      • Demonstrated strong analytical, organizational, and planning abilities.
      • Excellent Verbal & Written Communication, presentation, decision-making and negotiations skills.
      • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
      • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment
